Artist’s Statement
I have been drawn to the drama of tropical skies and mercurial weather patterns when painting plein-air in warm climates like Florida and Puerto Rico. These extended excursions with my french easel have informed my work during most of my artistic career and have been a specific inspiration for my figurative night landscapes and still life paintings.
